The suru valley resort is located in the upper suru valley near the village of purtikchey(Purtikse). The site ecology is exceptional and one can enjoy the view of the Nun Kun range (7130mtr ) of elevation and its glaciers located less than 30 kms away. The resort is on the bank of beautiful suru river.

Which entirely freezes in winter, just as the neighboring zanaskar river? On the other side of river, we find Impressive cliffs which are the adobe of Ibex. Flocks of Ibexes can often to be observed from the resort. Just across the river on the pastures, after the first snowfalls, one can also see the dusk dozens of wolves descending from the mountains. The wolves are so abundant in this area, that the place is locally known as “Shangtsangs” which literally means Wolf Den in purig language.
